A letter calling on the Government to back the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon has been signed by more than 107 MPs.
Sent to Business and Energy Secretary Greg Clark, it urges the Government to respond to the recommendations of the Hendry Review which supported the principle of the Swansea lagoon.
The Government should "start negotiations for a pathfinder tidal lagoon in Swansea as soon as possible", states the letter.
It comes just over a month after former Energy Minister Charles Hendry advised in his review that the Swansea lagoon should be built "as soon as reasonably practicable".
Tidal lagoons, he said, could make a strong contribution to UK energy security, would offer a "significant economic opportunity for Wales and the UK more generally", and would be affordable compared to other energy sources.
Stephen Kinnock, Byron Davies, Chris Bryant, Clive Betts, David Davies, Hywel Williams, Jo Stevens, Kevin Brennan, Nick Clegg, Owen Smith, Paul Flynn, Stephen Crabb, Stephen Doughty and Tim Farron are among the 107 MPs who have signed the letter.
