Opponents of controversial plans to tighten regulations on trade unions have launched a bid to ensure the Welsh Government and other bodies are not affected by new requirements.
Cardiff West Labour MP Kevin Brennan said: “Throughout the passage of the Trade Union Bill Labour has sought to ensure that devolved administrations are able to decide how best they engage with their staff and trade unions when delivering devolved public services. It is unacceptable that the Tory Government is seeking to interfere in voluntary agreements between the Welsh Government and its workforce. Such an imposition is unfair, unworkable and may well prove to unlawful.”
